The Bills are on a hot streak the likes of which haven’t been seen in 25 years. With all this energy and excitement running wild in every Buffalonian’s home come game night, wouldn’t it be nice to have all of the necessities to take your football party to the next level? Then, all you have to worry about is the game itself and who’s double-dipping (one of the most severe party fouls). Well, if your response was an emphatic “Wooo, Go Bills!”, then hold on to your Josh Allen jersey because we’ve got you covered!
OG Buffalo Wangs
Travel the world, but you’ll never find wings better than the original B-Lo wings
Let’s kick this list off right with wings from none-other than the Anchor Bar. What can be said about the Anchor Bar that hasn’t already been put into the deep-fried annals of history? I mean, this is the birthplace of the world-famous buffalo wing, after all! Who would have imagined that Teressa Bellissimo’s imaginative way of making wings, to satisfy her son’s hungry friends one day in 1964, would become nothing less than a Buffalo trademark as well as a sign of quality just by the mere mention of “The Buffalo Wing”! I find it somewhat serendipitous that the creator of the Anchor Bar Buffalo wing’s last name is Bellissimo, which in Italian translates to beautiful.
Through Teressa’s spur of the moment ingenuity, she created something that has come to be recognized as nothing short of culinary inspiration: always delicious, always a welcome (no pun intended) addition to any party or tailgate, the Anchor Bar Buffalo wings are just as vital as it was in ‘64, and I’m sure it will remain so for many years to come!
Just Buffalo Pizza
Yes indeed, the Bills pizza
Pizza is a must, and to fulfill this genuinely essential part of any football party, for my money you’re best bet is Just Pizza. Now hear me out. I know everyone’s partial to their own pizza spot, but if we’re talking sheer variety, I can’t think of a better place. With 75 types of pizza, there truly is something for everyone. My personal favorite is 3 Cheese Steak, and they have it!
You want a boring cheese pizza? Of course, they have it, and with their extensive choices on offer, rest assured you can find the perfect combination of pizza and cheese that’ll happily put you to sleep. They even have downright weird pizza flavors like Taco Pizza or Jamaican jerk pizza. To paraphrase a line, “if you can build it, chances are Just Pizza has it.” So if you want to take care of your pizza needs, chances are Just Pizza has you covered in pretty much every way imaginable.
Buffalo Brews
Big Ditch’s “You Make Me Wanna Stout” Cream Ale
Who doesn’t like to knock back a cold one when watching the big game? I’m not talking about some regular name brand beer you can get at your local supermarket. Where’s the fun in that? This is the Buffalo Bills we’re talking about here, hometown pride all the way! So I suggest you go to Big Ditch Brewing Company to stock up on libations. I know that the words “Craft Beer” don’t instantly bring up a sense of confidence nowadays. “What do you mean you don’t like beer made out of hay seeds and wheatgrass?” Big Ditch Brewing Company is a place with quality and invention (I mean, they have chocolate beer as an option. I’m sorry, but that’s awesome!).
For those more refined souls at the party, they also have a wide selection of wines, spirits, and hard ciders to make sure the buzz lasts just a bit longer than the last touchdown. So, if you’re hankering for something a little bit more special, if you’re looking to go Buffalo all the way come game day, then why not stop by Big Ditch Brewing Company and pick something up?
Buff Merch
My Cuzin Vintage has an amazing selection of Bills memorabilia
Donning your favorite jersey before the big game is almost a spiritual experience. Once you have it on, it’s almost like you and the player of your choice are linked telepathically (until that player drops a pass or doesn’t make a first down, then the link is severed by you yelling at the TV). If you’re looking for some cool Bills swag, check out My Cuzin Vintage.
Whether you’re looking for a nice Stefon Diggs jersey, a Vintage Buffalo Bills Nike Crewneck, or maybe you want to get the new YEEZY’s and spray paint them Bills colors (a significant improvement if you ask me) there’s more than enough classic bills gear to make even the most hardcore of fans giddy from ear to ear. So, if you’re in dire need of top-notch Bills merch, My Cuzin Vintage will have you leaving the store with a smile on your face.
The Sweet Stank of Victory
Celebrate the Bills going to the Superbowl with stogies from Buffalo Cigars
Victory is said to smell like Cigar smoke (I just made that up, but it sounds like someone prominent might have said it, right?) For those who like to unwind in style after all the game’s hullabaloo, stop by Buffalo Cigars for some victory Cigars.
With a selection that includes all major brands and over 50,000 cigars in inventory with what’s promised to be a Cuban experience (when talking about proper cigars, is there any other way to go?) Buffalo Cigars indeed has just the right cigar for you that’ll have you puffing smooth clouds of smoke in the back of the room after the game as if you methodically planned the victory like a master tactician. Just make sure you get enough for the non-master tacticians in the room. They’ll indeed thank you for it, plus who likes to smoke alone?
Go Bills!
It’s been a crazy, odd and consistently jaw dropping season, and we are in the home stretch! Get your wings, your pizza and your beer. Put on your jersey with pride because this year you, as well as the person’s name you have on your jersey, deserve that pride with every fiber of your being. Everyone in the region knows it’s been a long time coming, and the Lombardi Trophy is finally again within reach. So Gather amongst your friends and family and share in the collective energy that will carry us to victory (I hear it smells like cigar smoke). Here’s to the Super Bowl, here’s to the city, Go Bills!
