Hornblower Niagara Fireworks Cruise 2019 Season Ends Soon!
September 19, 2019

We don’t want you to panic, buuut…there are only a few weeks left to experience the Hornblower Niagara Fireworks Cruise!

There’s nothing quite like a cruise and the sight of exploding fireworks over Niagara Falls

Come see spectacular, jaw-dropping panoramic views of Niagara Falls up close and personal, lit up by the 26th Annual Falls Fireworks Series (weather permitting and presented by Niagara Parks). You will not want to miss this!

The spectacular colors of these professional pyrotechnics, as well as the multicolored lights which shine over the Falls, truly create a magical picture when set against the rich backdrop of a classic Buffalo Niagara autumn. If you are from out-of-town (we are looking at you, college students!) you might not be familiar with our region’s fall foliage, but rest assured it’s impressive! This Fireworks Cruise is the perfect conclusion to a resplendent day, complete with onboard music and a licensed bar that has drinks available for purchase. So gather up your friends and visiting family, take a break from your studies or career work, and choose a weekend between now and October 14th!

Don’t forget the funicular

By booking a cruise with Hornblower Niagara, you will receive free admission to ride the funicular cars! (If you are not familiar, funicular is the fancy title for an inclined railway.) These 50-passenger vehicles are glass-enclosed and climate-controlled, which makes them perfect for blustery days. The incline is a whopping 189-degree angle, which travels up and down the gorgeous Niagara Gorge and through all of the transforming local flora and fauna. There are only four operational funiculars in the entire country of Canada – half of which operate right here in Niagara Falls!

Although the Fireworks Cruise season will soon be coming to an end, the funicular cars will continue to operate until December 1st. Not only are they comfortable for colder days, but they also provide audio commentary and incredible views of both the American and Horseshoe Falls. (Special note: Both the Fireworks Cruise and the funicular cars are wheelchair accessible.) So regardless of whether or not you make it on the boat, you can be sure that there will be plenty of gorgeous photo opportunities!

The Hornblower Niagara Funicular transports passengers up and down the 18,000-year-old rock on the Great Gorge walls, equal to the distance of nearly 19 stories on an angle

Hurry before the 2019 season comes to a halt

(And if you think our autumns are breathtaking, just you wait until the snow starts to fall…)

The Hornblower Niagara Fireworks Cruise lasts for forty minutes. Operation is Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as Monday, October 14th. Gates close at 9:15 and the cruise departs at 9:30. Tickets are $42.95/Adult and $27.95 for children 12 and under. Unfortunately, discounts for seniors and students are not available at this time; however, group rates are available. Complimentary recyclable ponchos will be provided. Fireworks will occur even if it rains, but they will not occur when wind speeds are too high.
