When you think about your best memories in Buffalo it usually involves your favorite local restaurants and your best buddies. In this city, it’s all about the food! Yes, we have our signatures: beef on weck, Buffalo wings and Friday fish fry’s, but we have so much more to offer! New Buffalo restaurants are all the buzz popping up all over the city with small plates and big vibes.
In talking about interesting menus we can’t forget to mention The Black Sheep and Buffalo Proper both following the theme of small plate menus. Executive Chef Edward Forster created a menu that will definitely start a conversation. His menu is broken up in 3 sections: small plates, easy going plates and family style plates ranging from $4-$65. Their cocktail menu takes all your favorite cocktails and revamps them with a twist, mixing fresh squeezed juices and fresh fruit for an extra bonus. Executive Chef Steve Gedra takes his influences of living in Boston, Nantucket, Colorado and New Mexico to make an interesting menu for The Black Sheep. Pork confit pierogis, Thai bologna lettuce wraps and watermelon gazpacho are among the many unique offerings.
The Buffalo Chophouse just reopened their doors after a $750,000 renovation. They did just enough to keep the cozy feel, but took it to the next level in elegance with updated carpet, drapes, upholstery and wall décor. They even updated the bathrooms and created a brand new hostess station with granite counters. If you’ve ever been to the Chophouse, you know you can always count on them for a great steak. Ultimately, it’s all about the food and you can always count on a good meal.
