More Fun at Artpark

Artpark is all about getting those creative juices flowing and making memories with loved ones! Whether you are a fan of art and want to help your little protégés get their hands dirty, you are looking for some out-of-the-box ideas for your next date night, or you are ready for a new creative challenge, be sure to take a look at www.artpark.net/events and pack your calendar with some Artpark fun. It’s time to get creative!

Below, you will find a list of our favorite things to fill a day at the beautiful Artpark State Park:

Buffalo Niagara loves Chuck Tingley

Check out the Public Sculptures and Murals

Public art is what makes Artpark so special. There’s art lurking around every corner at Artpark. The juxtaposition between art and nature at Artpark is like nowhere else. Even the parking lot at Artpark is a work of art! (“Niagara 1979” by Gene Davis) And Artpark offers plenty of camps and family art activities that promote art to the entire community.  Murals give Artpark an urban feel in the midst of all the natural allure. Check out Chuck Tingley’s masterpieces, “Ascent,” and “Bloom.” What’s your favorite mural at Artpark?

Make Music With Interactive Art Displays

Interactive musical art displays are fun for the entire family. Checkout the Percussion Garden where you’ll find whimsical displays like the “Beat Blossom” by Shasti O’Leary-Soudant. So if you don’t want to work and just want to bang on the drums all day, the Percussion Garden at Artpark is the perfect spot to do just that. The Artpark Bridges Garden just opened and it is the location of all this musical art. There are murals, music and much more!

Hike the Niagara Gorge

The beauty of the Niagara Gorge can be fully appreciated with a stroll through Artpark. This gorgeous gorge is a scenic gem of our region and you’ll get a full workout as you hike with your friends, your dog, or by yourself! There are all sorts of animals to see while you walk around Artpark, but our favorite creatures to creep on are the birds. Watching their majestic wingspans fly over international waters is truly a site to see.
