The Gypsy Parlor is a cafe and bar that boasts a bohemian backdrop with pub fare, West Side delicacies, and live entertainment. Try a specialty cocktail like Gypsy Juice or Love Potion Number 9. If Sunday Brunch is more your style, the menu features hearty options like the Brunch Burger or the Cranberry Compote French Toast. Located at 376 Grant Street. Open 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Thursday and Saturday; 2:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Sunday. Kitchen is open until midnight, with a late night menu available until 3 a.m.

Go on a Mural Scavenger Hunt

Whether you’re a big fan of street art or you’re simply looking to spice up your Instagram profile, Buffalo has a vibrant assortment of murals to enjoy. Check out “Greetings from Buffalo” at 461 Ellicott Street, “Feast” on Elmwood Avenue at Bidwell, “Dream Keepers” at 1221 Main Street, and “Magic Buffalo” on Hertel Avenue at Joe’s Deli…just to name a few.  While you’re at it, check out The Buffalove Mural Project on Instagram for the locations of tons of other local street art.

Catch Spring Fever at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens

The gorgeous Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens were built in the late 1800s and fashioned after the Crystal Palace in England. Here you’ll find exotic plants from around the world, special entertainment such as the nighttime show “Lumagination,” classes for painting and yoga, and fun events for kids. The center stays open year-round and operates daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $11/Adult, $10/Senior, $9/Student, $6/Child, and free for kids two years and under. Memberships are available.
