Walking Main Street in Williamsville
November 7, 2018

Williamsville is a fantastic place to visit in Buffalo Niagara. The crime rate is exceptionally low, the roads are well maintained, the population is culturally diverse, and the village is historical. Now is the perfect time to visit because the town recently finished a huge construction project to make it safer and easier to walk along Main Street, where dozens and dozens of small businesses help shape the economy. Here are a few shops and restaurants that we would highly recommend exploring during your visit.

Break’n Eggs Creperie

Begin your day at Break’n Eggs. Locals love to come here because the food is great and so is the atmosphere. Crepes are the restaurant’s main attraction, featuring tantalizing combinations like Filet Mignon, Caramelized Onions, Mushrooms, Goat Cheese, and Blueberry Chipotle Sauce.

We love these heart shaped pancakes!

Check out Pumpkins for cute children’s outfits.

Pumpkins Children’s Clothing

If you have little ones, this boutique is perfect for scoping out cute outfits you won’t find at your department store. Pumpkins features Biscotti, Oh Baby, Kissy Kissy, Kickee Pants, Maeli Rose, Hannah Banana, Boboli and several other designer brands. Sizes range from Newborn to 16.

Napoli’s Clothing & Shoes For Men

This store has everything a man needs to look his best, from sports coats to t-shirts and even swimwear. It also carries bags, accessories and undergarments. Napoli’s is a great place to shop at if you’re searching for a new style, or if you’re traveling for business and forgot to bring some things with you. Prices range from moderate to expensive, but quality and design are top notch.

Fine Suits are made-to-measure at Napoli’s.

Delicious French Onion Soup from Creekview.

Creekview Restaurant

For lunch, visit this aptly-named restaurant, which overlooks Ellicott Creek. Creekview restaurant is in a historical building and the food is contemporary American. Enjoy dishes like Grandma Lucy’s Meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and brown gravy. A children’s menu is also available. When you’re finished, take a stroll across the street to see the big waterfall at Glen Park.

DiCamillo Italian Bakery

If you are looking to satisfy a sweet tooth, head down to the corner of Main and South Long Street. DiCamillo Bakery has a great selection of biscotti in flavors like Chocolate Dipped, Triple Chocolate, Cherry, Lemon and of course, Traditional. You’ll find an assortment of Italian cookies as well, including Pizzelles, Coconut Macaroons, and Sicilian Fig Cookies. Even if you’re not a sweets person, you might enjoy the rest of the bakery’s products- they have breads, pastas, sauces, jams, and holiday items.

One-of-a-kind Peanut Sticks from DiCamillo Bakery.

CowPok is not your average tattoo parlor and piercing shop.

CowPok

Getting a tattoo or piercing has become one of the most popular bucket list items in modern day. If you’ve been craving a change in your image, consider scheduling an appointment at CowPok, a local favorite. You’ll find that the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they’re quite good at what they do. Fun fact: if you have a little girl, it’s safer to have her ears pierced at a tattoo parlor than at a mall stand, as the environment is medically sterile. This could make for a fun addition to your shopping adventure.

These are just a few of the wonderful places that Williamsville’s small business strip has to offer. If you’re planning a visit to this area, you’ll find that the village has a wide variety of things to do. In fact, if you plan ahead, we’d recommend coming out during one of their many festivals that take place at Island Park. Regardless of the time of year you come out, rest assured you will have plenty of options. Enjoy planning your itinerary with Welcome 716!
