6 Fall Activities We Love
It’s still pretty nice out in the 716. While we are digging these sunny days we know fall is inevitably on its merry little way! But don’t cry because Summer is over; smile because Fall is on its way! And with Fall, comes some of our favorite Fall activities.
Becker Farms
Apple picking is by far one of my favorite Fall activities. Whether your picking apples to bake a pie or just to make some memories it truly is an activity the entire family can enjoy. It’s hard to think of a better place to pick apples than Becker Farms! Of course you could always just buy one of the delicious pies at Becker Farms, too. We won’t tell anyone you didn’t actually bake it. Grab a cider or two while you’re there to really get into the Fall spirit.

The Buffalo History Museum surrounded by beautiful Fall foliage.
Buffalo History Museum
Sure the Buffalo History Museum is open year-round but there’s just something about being in a museum on a crisp Fall day. We especially love how beautiful the museum looks with a Fall foliage backdrop! If you haven’t checked out their sports exhibit Icons: The Makers and Moments of Buffalo Sports then you’re missing out. (Any excuse to reminisce about the Bills in the early 90’s is a good time, am I right?!)
My Favorite Sports Store in the Fashion Outlets of Niagara
The name of this store is pretty self-explanatory! With the return of Fall sports in the 716 comes the need to show your colors and support our teams! Stock up on game day gear and tailgate necessities at My Favorite Sports Store inside the Fashion Outlets of Niagara.
Apparel to accessories My Favorite Sports Store has everything you need to be a true fan!
Don’t miss out on this incredible story from the Irish Classical Theatre.
Irish Classical Theatre
With fall brings a new theatre season filled with entertainment and amazing performances from the Irish Classical Theatre. Don’t miss out on Golden Boy which runs until October 7th. This timeless American classic is a tale about a boxer who also has a sensitive side. Check out the entire 2018-2019 season here.
Niagara Falls State Park
Sometimes, we forget how lucky we are to have one of the Seven Wonders of the World in our very own backyard. Niagara Falls State Park gets a little quieter in the fall. The serene view of the Waterfall juxtaposed against the changing leaves is truly a breathtaking sight. It’s no wonder that the Travel Channel named Niagara Falls State Park as one of the top 10 Day-After-Thanksgiving Hikes the Whole Family Can Do. It truly is a magical place to visit in the Autumn months.
There’s nothing quite like the Falls in Fall.
It wouldn’t be Fall without pumpkins.
The Great Pumpkin Farm
The Great Pumpkin Farm is Western New York’s largest Fall Festival. Complete with games, rides and activities there’s enough to do to keep a smile on your jack-o-lantern. Weekdays are free and there’s plenty to do on the weekends, too. Don’t forget to stop by the Pumpkin Palace to get fresh baked treats. The Great Pumpkin Farm is open from now until Halloween!
All good things must come to an end. And sadly, that includes Summer. But with the change comes a plethora of fun Fall activities to keep you and your family busy. Hey, at least it isn’t Winter yet!! (Don’t worry, our events page will keep you entertained all year long.)
