Fantastic Fireplaces of WNY
March 9, 2018
The winter is a difficult time for some of us in Western New York. Unless you’re one of those people that just loves the feeling of frozen snot in your nose and no feeling in your toes! The freezing temperatures (#buffalowtemperatures, as I like to call them) can make going out seem completely unnecessary and even downright ridiculous. However, these charming fireplaces will help to thaw you out and keep you entertained during these treacherously cold days. After all, we shouldn’t just aim to get throughthese winter months we should try and actually enjoy ourselves! It might be cold outside, but it’s nice and warm inside at these local favorites.

The Lafayette Brewing Company has a marvelous fireplace, but why not play some of their bar-cade games too? From pinball machines to billiards, darts, foosball and shuffleboard, there is something fun for everyone!

The Red Coach Inn is a not just an inn but also a restaurant that is so close to Niagara Falls that you can see the mist. Enjoy vintage wines, martinis, or beer from around the world while you sit at their gorgeous mahogany Cruvinet bar.

Scotch n’ Sirloin is definitely a place to warm up at during these brutal winter months. Who doesn’t like a hot steak on a warm day? Enjoy their daily specials like $1.00 shrimp on Wednesdays or an all night happy hour on Monday.

The Darwin Martin House has not one but two amazing fireplaces for your convenience. If you’ve been looking for a warm place to explore then look no further. Frank Lloyd Wright knew how to create a gorgeous fireplace, that’s for sure! The Darwin Martin House was also recently featured in a New York Times’ article as a reason why Buffalo is one of the must see places in 2018.

Asa Ransom House is a quaint Bed and Breakfast in Clarence. The dining room is open to the public for dinner everyday except Monday and reservations are recommended. Enjoy an intimate dining experience next to their fireplace. Nothing goes better with gourmet dining than a romantic fireplace.

The Eagle House has been a local favorite in WIlliamsville since 1827. You know a place that has been around that long has to have a comfy fireplace! Why not head there on a Tuesday for Craft Draft Tuesday. Sip on craft beer as you thaw out next to their delightful fireplace.

The Tavern at Windsor Park is truly a Williamsville gem. This hometown tavern features all your favorite English-fare; from bangers and mash to fish and chips, cottage pie and all the American pub classics, too. Looking for some midweek fun? Why not nestle up next to the fire while you enjoy their Wine Down Wednesdays with half-priced wine from 6:00-close.
