Nine Reasons Why Fall is the 716’s Best Season
October 30, 2017

Looking at a lion
Looking at a lion and other majestic animals while you take in the splendor of fall foliage at the Buffalo Zoo can’t be beat.  Thus, Fall in Buffalo Niagara is super cool.

Anytime you can see a giraffe is a good time so celebrate Bison day Saturday November 4th.

Scarves
Yes, scarves make the list all by themselves. Why? Because they are not only the perfect fall accessory but they also keep us warm on those crisp fall in Buffalo Niagara mornings – not to mention the fact that they are trusted layers the day after Thanksgiving, covering up our maybe unbuttoned pants. Whether it’s a Bills’ scarf at New Era Field or something chic from Half and Half Boutique scarves are definitely a reason to Buffalove fall.

Pumpkin Patches and Apple Orchards
Pumpkin patches and apple orchards like the ones at Becker Farms and The Great Pumpkin Farm are the perfect way to spend a fall day. Whether you prefer a donut or hard cider for your fall treat by the fireside, these family favorite has something for everyone.

Thanksgiving at Home
In this neck of the woods, we know how to celebrate family and how to be thankful.  With friends coming home and local bars becoming makeshift class reunions, there’s no better time to feel the Buffalove than Thanksgiving.  Kick back, relax and enjoy mom’s cooking for the weekend. Don’t want to run into people you went to high school with OR sit at home with the family? Then check out the World’s Largest Disco that takes place on Saturday November 25th at the Buffalo Convention Center.  We hear it’s pretty groovy!

A Good Book Next to a Warm Fire
Take a break from your favorite fall shows and do your brain a favor with a book from Old Editions Book and Print Shop. Spend your afternoon taking in everything this antiquarian bookstore and gallery has to offer and spend your evening reading your latest purchase. After all, what better time than fall to tackle that summer reading list?

Dogs in Outfits
Of course only if your pooch is cool with it.  Naturally, we are lucky enough to experience four seasons of our four-legged friends here in WNY but we especially love them in their fall attire. From Halloween costumes to festive sweaters, our furry friends appreciate fall fashion, too so we love putting them in costumes.

The Buffalo History Museum
The Buffalo History Museum is your oasis on a rainy autumn day, or on those perfect fall afternoons take a stroll through the Japanese Garden in the beautiful Frederick Law Olmsted designed park. Sports fans will love the exhibit Icons: The Makers and Moments of Buffalo Sports that opens November 17th.

Wineries and Brewerie                                                                                                                                                                          There’s just something about drinking outside on a crisp fall day with your pals. From North Niagara to South Buffalo and beyond, there are plenty of breweries and craft beers to choose from. Grab your squad and try the new #squashgoals beer from Community Beer Works. If wine is more your taste, check out the Niagara Wine Trail. Wineries, such as Spring Lake Winery, are a great place to soak in a glorious day. As leaves fall on a sunlit countryside find out for yourself why this is America’s up and coming wine region.
