No travel arrangements, no packing, no sitting around airports and on airplanes while Welcome 716 guides you to a staycation!  Our summer is still hot and beautiful so plan a Staycation Buffalo Niagara while the time is right! Escape from your home, but not your hometown while Welcome 716 shows you a perfect day around Buffalo.

Morning

First, venture into downtown Buffalo to Canalside to take in the sights, boating adventures, a yoga class, concerts or great food.  Now get back out in the sun and take a tour through history on a narrated tour of the Buffalo River with Buffalo River History Tours. Otherwise, sail back in time aboard the Spirit of Buffalo offering day and evening sails with various themes.  Take a sailing lesson or enjoy harbor events or fireworks with Make Sail Time Buffalo.  Speaking of boats, you can rent your own Pontoon Boat at Collins Marine and take your own cruise down the Niagara River or along the Erie Canal.

Afternoon

Discover the ships at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park, and enjoy great libations and food on the patio next door at Liberty Hound. Add to your fun by trying your luck at the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in the Cobblestone District.  Rent a kayak, paddleboat or bike at Wilkeson Pointe on the Outer Harbor and explore our developing waterfront on your staycation Buffalo Niagara.  Visit the beach, get your exercise on the walking paths, and take in the views that take your breath away.

Night

While in downtown Buffalo, dining at the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery is a must!  Experience the cityscape on their New Orleans style wrap around patios while enjoying a craft brew.  Today Buffalo’s craft beer market is thriving and you must stop for a drink at a few of the breweries.  So while downtown, take a tour and try a new craft beer at Big Ditch Brewing Company,  or kick back in the outdoor beer garden at Resurgence Brewing Company.  Beer lovers will have much to celebrate on their staycation Buffalo Niagara.
