It’s a Buffalo Summer!
August 17, 2015

Here in  Buffalo summer has not officially ended until the leaves start to fall.  Sadly, summer according to the calendar is coming to an end.  Don’t worry we’re not trying to cut the summer short, we just want to make sure you don’t miss out on anything!  We’ve got you covered with the places to go and things to do in Buffalo.

Play

The Buffalo Zoo Buffalo Summer program has so much to see and do and so many exhibits to experience.  One of our favorites is the outdoor Sea Lion Cove exhibit which offers interactive sea lion training sessions.  Other popular exhibits include the gorillas, lions, giraffes, buffalo, monkey’s and so much more!  Keep an eye out for the much-anticipated Arctic Edge polar bear exhibit.  This will soon be the home for Luna and her mother, Anana.  Featuring underwater viewing and naturalistic habitats.  It’s due to open mid-September.

Drink

Allen Burger Venture (ABV) is one of Buffalo’s newest hotspots.  Their outdoor patio overlooks the lively Allen Street strip.  Servin’ up some of the best burgers in town as well as tap beer & wine and fully stocked bar.  Don’t be afraid to try their “jiffy” Peanut Butter burger, it’s delicious!  Along with the obvious “jiffy” this burger is topped with pickled jalapenos, applewood bacon, and white cheddar (extra napkins required).  All burgers are paired with handcut fries.

A staple of downtown Buffalo is  Pearl Street Grill & Brewery.  If you’re looking for up close views of Buffalo’s newest treasure  Canalside, while enjoying some of Buffalo’s traditional food this is your place.  They even brew up their own craft beer!

Eat

The annual  Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival is coming up Labor Day weekend.  Chicken wing lovers from around the area and across the country gather this one weekend to taste the best of Buffalo wings.  Traditional “Buffalo style” sauces are available but you can also indulge in lots of non-traditional sauce choices.

So basically what we’re saying is get out there and enjoy yourself!  Even though summer is ending there are so many activities to look forward to in the colder months especially, now that Buffalo has truly transformed into a four-season destination!
