Niagara Falls

The wonder of Niagara Falls continues to amaze and inspire people from all over the world.  Venture over to Niagara Falls State Park to get up close to this wonder. There’s plenty of observation areas to witness majesty of the falls in a roar of thrilling thunder and magnificent mist. Speaking of mist, the world famous boat tour (on the US side) and the new Hornblower Niagara Cruises (on the Canadian side) both tour the Falls.  Waterproof ponchos are provided if you don’t want to get soaked so don’t be scared!  Hornblower also offers extraordinary evening cruises where you can experience a magnificent sunset and see the illuminated Falls.

For awesome whitewater AND historical experiences take a drive to Youngstown and take a tour with Niagara Jet Adventures.  History abounds along the Erie Canal at Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises while touring an original lock.  See the remaining famous 1800’s “Flight of Five” locks as you are raised and lowered 49 feet in the only double set of locks on the Erie Canal.

Buffalo Waterfront

In downtown Buffalo you can cruise through history as you travel up the waterway that made Buffalo one of the richest cities in the world.  Listen to the story of our history as the world’s largest grain port while experiencing the nation’s most extensive collection of standing elevators from just a few feet away.   Fourteen of these enormous structures, which inspired European Modernist architects, still line the Buffalo waterfront.  Silo City has emerged as a hub of adventure and culture while retaining the grit of this area.  We recommend the narrated  by Buffalo River History Tours and Buffalo Harbor Cruises.  While you’re enjoying the sights around the waterfront take a stroll to the Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park – the largest inland park of its kind in the nation – and explore actual Navy ships, vintage fighter planes and other inspiring exhibits.
